This spring, Rainbow Mountain will be hosting two very special events to support Rainbow’s arts program.
The first event, now past, was a fun, relaxing, adult evening out full of great music by Scenic Roots, laughter with comedian Tom Chalmers, a raffle, and a small silent and a live auction. We called it an “Imaginary Event” but it was for real thanks to the new, and tasty, Weaverville restaurant, Jack of Hearts at 10 S. Main Street.
The second event, Imagine! is on May 19, 2011. Imagine! is the culmination of an innovative arts collaboration between professional, local artists and students at Rainbow. Artist and children make a natural partnership with both sharing their fantastic imaginations and creativity. Throughout May performing artists, visual artists, and craftspeople will be working on site at Rainbow Mountain teaching the students their art and sharing their vision for a better world.
Imagine! is a wonder-filled day of dance, drama, music, and art and crafts. Come by Rainbow Mountain Children’s School from 11:00am to 3:00pm to celebrate with the children.
