
The Foundation—Classroom Materials,
Equipment and Enrichment
The Foundation is strongly committed to enhancing the classroom learning environment. Every teacher receives an annual allowance for classroom improvements. Teachers are also encouraged to submit grant requests for special instructional programs, equipment and materials. Over the last few years, we have funded science lab equipment, books, classroom furniture, math manipulatives, Waldorf kindergarten materials, preliteracy centers and more.
During the 2008–2009 school year, The Foundation provided funding for

During the 2007–2008 school year, The Foundation provided funding for
- Board Governance Training and Soul of Education training for an Omega teacher
- Marketing software and computer upgrades for the office
- Ricki Harada’s dance residency and the Zulu Connection (LEAF in schools)
- Classroom Materials, such as electronic talking dictionaries, Equipment and Enrichment was the biggest part of their spending, after tuition assistance
During the 2005–2006 school year, The Foundation provided funding for
- A laptop compatible with the projector for use in multiple settings
- Preschool frog habitat and new preliteracy materials
- 2/3 reading assessment tools and social studies manipulatives
- Centers for multi-grade, kinesthetic learning opportunities in science
- Omega Program workshops on
