Campus of Rainbow Mountain
Children’s School and Omega Program

Historic Building

Our historic building is home to grades 4–8. Art and Spanish classes are held on the main level as are grades 4 and 5. The Omega Program (grades 6–8) occupies the upper floor or the “tower” as it is sometimes known. The tower also contains a staff/faculty lounge.

Newer Classroom Building

Across the deck and next to the Peace Garden, the newer classroom building houses the lower grades and the preschool program. Grades 1–3 occupy the main level. In addition to exterior classroom doors, these grades are connected by interior doors that faciliate multi-grade learning activities. The main level also houses the computer lab and media center.

The preschool program and the multi-purpose room are contained in the lower level of the newer classroom building, providing safe and easy access to the playground. School-wide functions are often held in the multi-purpose room. Indoor before- and after-school activities (in the event of inclement weather) and music are also conducted in the multi-purpose room.

The Butterfly House

The kindergarten and the Business Manager’s office are currently housed in a structure affectionately known as the “Butterfly House.” The colorfully painted building can be found in the lower parking lot. The kindergarten classroom can be accessed from the ramp that leads to the left-most doorway (nearest the playground equipment).

Administrative Offices

The administrative offices are located in the brick house at the bottom of the lower parking lot adjacent to the playing field. You may make tuition payments here, review Board and school communications, request information about our programs, or schedule a visit with the Executive Director.

Parking

Please note that the lower parking lot is one way and must be accessed from the upper lot on Haywood Road. When both lots are full, additional parking is available on State Street near the administrative offices. To ensure traffic moves safely through our campus, we ask that you park only in designated parking spaces or use on-street parking.
